On 17-Aug-23, Zip Co announced the sale of Twisto for an undisclosed consideration.
Twisto is a leading provider of Buy Now Pay Later solutions in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).
Param is a Turkish fintech offering embedded finance solutions to SMEs and large corporations, which include online/offline payments, open banking, and SME lending. The company offers consumers an all-in-one financial app including free current accounts, cashback and debit cards.
Overview of Twisto
Twisto was founded in 2013 by Michal Smida and has developed a unique BNPL solution, giving customers full control and freedom to pay over short and longer-term instalment terms.
Twisto has processed Buy Now Pay Later transactions for over 1.6 million customers since inception.
The company is a leading regional player in CEE, with the core markets of the Czech Republic and Poland.
Twisto is also a principal member of MasterCard with a primary issuing license and partners with Marqeta to offer card solutions across Europe.
Risilience helps clients across a wide range of sectors, including food, retail, technology, fashion, transport, utilities, and financial services. Risilience’s client list includes high-calibre global players such as Nestlé, Burberry, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, Reckitt, easyJet and Tesco, among others. The firm has c.70 full-time employees (of which +15 PhD holders) with offices in the U.K. and U.S.
